A woman has filed a lawsuit against a former employer accusing it of sexual discrimination and retaliation.

Theresa Hammer filed a lawsuit in federal court against The Post 4 LLC.

According to the complaint, Hammer was the only female general manager at the company's St. Charles County location. Despite requests for company-mandated training over eight months, Hammer claims she was denied training provided to her male counterparts. She also accuses Joe Futrell, the company's District Manager, of assigning tasks requiring specialized training which she had been denied.

Hammer says she was subjected to sexual harassment, sexual discrimination and retaliation in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act as well as the Missouri Human Rights Act.

Hammer also says she received a notice of right to sue from both the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Missouri Commission on Human Rights.
