Congratulations to WashULaw alum Anthony Jones, JD ’11 who was honored at the Reservation Economic Summit as a Native American 40 Under 40 award winner by The National Center For American Indian Enterprise Development.
Jones is an Associate Attorney at Dorsey & Whitney LLP where he provides advice and representation in relation to American Indian law matters, including transactional advice, litigation support, and intellectual property advice. In that capacity, Anthony has served as in-house counsel and outside general counsel for Native American tribes. Jones is one of a very small number of Native American patent attorneys, and he leverages a broad engineering background to advise clients about protecting their valuable technologies. Anthony also advises and represents tribal governments about litigation and transactional matters, including matters related to economic development, natural resources, and tribal sovereignty. Anthony is an enrolled member of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe.
The Native American 40 Under 40 Awards are bestowed upon individuals under the age of 40, nominated by members of their communities, who have demonstrated leadership, initiative, and dedication and made significant contributions to business and their community.
