Andrea Boyack, the Floyd R. Gibson Endowed Professor of Law at Mizzou Law, recently had an article, “Abuse of Contract: Boilerplate Erasure of Consumer Counterparty Rights,” accepted in the Iowa Law Review.
In her article, Professor Boyack examines the potential abuse of contracts through boilerplate design as well as suggests how data from a recent study of companies’ online terms and conditions can assist advocates in more effectively protecting and empowering consumers.
