UB Greensfelder LLP is pleased to announce that Partner David J. Simmons has been recognized by The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) as one of the recipients of the 2025 BAMSL Presidential Award. Simmons was honored for his many years of service with BAMSL’s Motion for Kids, which provides gifts for up to 2,000 St. Louis area children in the foster care system or children whose lives have been severely impacted by the criminal justice system. This year’s Presidential Awards were presented during the Law Day 2025 celebration on May 1, 2025.
A seasoned litigator with more than two decades of experience, Simmons represents clients in franchise, trusts and estates, and general civil and complex litigation, as well as antitrust, premises liability/personal injury, securities, and class action matters. In his litigation practice, he takes a responsive and competitive approach that is mindful of clients’ budgets and business goals.
In addition to his work with BAMSL’s Motion for Kids, Simmons is board chairman of Momentum Academy, a non-profit charter school serving approximately 600 kids in the city of St. Louis. Previously, he was a fellow with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and a member of Leadership St. Louis.
