UB Greensfelder LLP (UBG) is pleased to announce that it has debuted on the 2025 Am Law 200 list, The American Lawyer’s annual ranking of the 200 highest-grossing law firms in the United States. This marks UBG’s first appearance on the prestigious list, underscoring the success of its 2024 formation from the merger of Ulmer & Berne and Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale.
“Earning a spot on the Am Law 200 was something we envisioned during our merger discussions,” said UB Greensfelder’s Co-Managing Partner, Kevin T. McLaughlin. “We recognized that we were creating something exceptional that would enable us to compete on a larger stage, and our inclusion on this list affirms the strength of our combined platform and the value it brings to our clients.”
In February, UB Greensfelder marked the one-year anniversary of its transformative merger. Co-Managing Partner, Scott P. Kadish, added, “This recognition validates the bold step we took in uniting two equally strong firms, that each punched above their weight, into a Midwestern powerhouse. As we begin our second year as a combined firm, our inclusion on the Am Law 200 list serves as both a proud milestone and a powerful motivator for what’s ahead.”
Renowned for its best-in-class client service and litigation excellence, UB Greensfelder was recently named “2025 Ohio and Missouri Firm of the Year” by Benchmark Litigation. Additionally, the firm was included on BTI Consulting Group’s “Most Recommended Law Firms 2025” list.
As a result of the 2024 merger, the combined firm now offers an expanded platform of service offerings and geographic synergies throughout the Midwest and in top-tier business markets. In February, UBG relaunched its Chicago office at 200 West Madison Street in the Loop after completing a renovation to consolidate the existing Chicago offices of its legacy firms. The firm also recently expanded and relocated its New York office to 1700 Broadway in the heart of Midtown Manhattan to accommodate strategic growth.
