ST. LOUIS — Employee organizations and benefit plans are suing Ehret Inc., citing alleged violation of workers compensation acts.

Employers & Cement Mason #90 Health & Welfare Fund, Employers & Cement Mason #90 Pension Fund and Employers & Cement Mason #90 filed a complaint on March 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri against Ehret alleging that the corporation failed to perform its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that as a result of the defendant's omissions, the plaintiffs are unable to determine the amount of contributions due or to properly credit the accounts of the defendant's employees. The plaintiffs holds Ehret responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to report collectively bargained contributions and employee wage deductions and failed to remit the required payments.

The plaintiffs seek an order requiring defendant to immediately submit all outstanding fringe benefit remittance reports and awarding plaintiffs the delinquent contributions, plus interest, liquidated damages and such other relief as the court deems proper. They are represented by James R. Kimmey of Cavanagh & O'Hara LLP in Edwardsville, Illinois.
