ST. LOUIS — An Illinois company is suing an aviation company, citing alleged breach of pre-purchase evaluation agreement.

JR14 LLC filed a complaint on May 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Eastern Division against JetCorp Technical Services Inc., doing business as Flying Colours Corp., alleging that the aviation company breached its duty to exercise due care in reviewing the aircraft's records and log books.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that prior to purchasing a Lear 45 N708SP aircraft, it contracted the defendant to evaluate the aircraft. As a result of the defendant's negligent misrepresentations, the plaintiff has incurred significant costs and expenses to repair the deficiencies of the aircraft.

The plaintiffs holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to disclose that the engines on the aircraft were outdated and would need substantial upgrades.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of not less than $100,000, plus attorneys' fees and costs and any additional relief the court deems just and proper. It is represented by Richard B. Korn of Fox Galvin LLC in St. Louis and Christopher E. Kentra, Jeffrey B. Greenspan and Corey T. Hickman of Cozen O'Connor in Chicago.
