ST. LOUIS — Trustees of a labor group are suing a drainage and plumbing services company, citing alleged violation of workers compensation acts.

Greater St. Louis Construction Laborers Welfare Fund, et al filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Eastern Division against Paul Pekic, an individual doing business as Pekic Sewer and PLS Plumbing, alleging that the defendant violated the Employee Retirement Income Security (ERISA).

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that as employees of the defendants bound by the collective bargaining agreement, they failed to receive employee pension trust and vacation fund benefit plan for numerous months dating back to at least January 2012.

The plaintiffs holds the defendant responsible because he allegedly failed to submit the required employee benefit contributions reports and failed to pay the required contributions for multiple employees for numerous months.

The plaintiffs seek judgment for all amounts owed, requiring to submit all reports and make all payments in the future to the plaintiffs in accordance with the terms and provisions of the collective

bargaining agreement, and for such other and further relief as the Court may consider appropriate under the circumstances. They are represented by Sherrie A. Hall and Nathan K. Gilbert of Hammond and Shinners, PC in St. Louis.
