ST. LOUIS — A woman is suing a St. Louis hotel and its employee, citing alleged negligence and reckless conduct.

Melissa Morrison filed a complaint on May 17 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, Tei (STLH) LLC, Tropicana Entertainment Inc. and Kamren M. Holbert, alleging that the defendants violated the American Massage Therapy Association code of ethics.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 27, 2016, as an invitee purchasing the massage service of the defendants, Morrison was assigned to message therapist Holbert. The plaintiff claims the defendant molested her during a massage therapy session. As a result, Morrison claims she suffered psychological injuries, emotional trauma and emotional pain.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide invitees with a safe environment to receive a massage, failed to train and instruct employees to avoid non-consensual bodily contact with any patron and failed to provide supervision to its massage therapists.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgement for punitive damages, plus cost of suit, pre- and post-judgment interest and for such other and further relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by John P. Kujawski of Kujawski Marcus LLC in O'Fallon, Illinois.
