ST. LOUIS — A woman is suing SLC Holding LLC, St. Louis Cardinals LLC and St. Louis Sportservice LLC, alleging negligence for mishaps at Busch Stadium that caused injuries.

Shannon Acklin of St. Peters filed a complaint on June 7 in St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to maintain the stadium premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, while attending a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game on Sept. 13, 2014, she was injured when defendants' employee carelessly poured hot cheese onto her hand and when she slipped and fell due to a puddle of liquid on the bathroom floor when she went to attend to the burn to her hand. She continues to be unable to work as a result of those injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide immediate assistance and medical aid.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount in excess of $25,000, pre-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and all further relief as this court deems just and proper. She is represented by Matthew T. Singer of the Law Office of Matthew T. Singer in St. Louis.
