ST. LOUIS — A customer is suing Cuzin G. Inc. d/b/a Pepper Lounge, a restaurant and bar operator, alleging negligence.
Shawn M. Mueller filed a complaint on June 7 in St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court alleging that the defendant, whose lounge is located at 2005 Locust St. in St. Louis, negligently maintained its premises in a dangerous and defective condition.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on Dec. 21, 2015, he was a paying patron at defendant's premises when he slipped and fell while descending the steps. Plaintiff sustained injuries to his right shoulder and was severely bruised. The plaintiff holds Pepper Lounge responsible because the establishment allegedly failed to warn plaintiff of the existence of the aforesaid dangerous and defective condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $25,000, prejudgment interest and costs of this suit. He is represented by Matthew J. Devoti of Casey & Devoti in St. Louis and Daniel Raniere of Daniel Raniere, Attorney at Law, in St. Louis.
