ST. LOUIS — A former sales representative is suing Pittsburgh Pipe and Supply Corp., Kevin Coan and Joseph Bergfeld, commercial pipe distributors, alleging discrimination, hostile work environment and retaliation.

Angela P. Boone filed a complaint on June 9 in St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages for loss of wages and benefits, increased tax liability, emotional distress, anxiety and deprivation of employment rights. She was terminated on Aug. 8, 2016. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly subjected plaintiff to discrimination, harassment, retaliation and termination, refused to pay plaintiff's earned commissions and intentionally interfered in her attempt to secure alternate employment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees and costs and such other relief as the court deems proper. She is represented by Joan M. Swartz of the Law Offices of Joan M. Swartz LLC in St. Louis.
