ST. LOUIS — A man is suing the owner of a Chesterfield property, citing alleged negligence and failure to warn invitees of a dangerous condition in the premises.

Gregory Richmond filed a complaint in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against 5621-5039 Chippewa Property LLC alleging that the defendant failed its duty to exercise ordinary care in maintaining its premises.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 24, while at the defendant's property, he suffered severe injuries when a material supporting the awning had rotted and created a condition that was not reasonably safe. As a result, Richmond claims he suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds 5621-5039 Chippewa Property responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to use ordinary care to remove the unsafe condition or barricade the unsafe condition or warn of the unsafe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount in excess of $25,000, exclusive of interest, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and any other further relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Michelle E. Radice of Michelle E. Radice LLC in St. Louis.
