ST. LOUIS — An injured employee is suing her former employer and supervisor, citing alleged disability discrimination.
Rochelle Brown filed a complaint June 26 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Cynthia Johnson and U.S. Bank National Association, alleging they violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in December 2015, she was terminated from her employment. As a result, she has suffered a loss of wages and benefits, as well as emotional distress.
The plaintiff holds Johnson and U.S. Bank National Association responsible because the defendants allegedly refused to provide reasonable accommodation and terminated her employment allegedly due to her medical condition, of which she claims the defendants knew the limitations and restrictions.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages in excess of $25,000, punitive damages, plus interest, costs of suit, attorney's fees and all further relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Bret C. Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab in St. Louis.
