ST. LOUIS — An employee is suing an employer and supervisor, citing alleged hostile work environment.

Mable Smith filed a complaint June 26 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Robert Field, Morgan's Foods of Missouri Inc. and Morgan's Foods Inc. alleging that the employer and supervisor violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, as a result of defendants' illegal behavior, she suffered emotional distress and a loss of wages and benefits.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly treated her unfairly and subjected her to sexual harassment and gender discrimination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages in excess of $25,000, punitive damages, interest, costs of suit, attorney's fees and all further relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Bret C. Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab in St. Louis.
