ST. LOUIS — A Missouri man is suing Moroc Corporation BT-OH LLC, now known as BT-H LLC, for allegedly failing to take safety measures.

Kirk Hammel filed a complaint in the St. Louis City Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to exercise ordinary care in keeping its premises safe for individuals entering the property.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that while walking on the defendant's premises on June 15, 2015, he slipped and fell on slippery steps while exiting the building, reportedly injuring his back, arm, head, neck and legs. As a result, Hammel claims he suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to repair, remov and barricade the dangerous condition in the premises and for permitting the steps to be in an unsafe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for compensatory damages in the sum an amount in excess of $25,000 plus costs expended and for any other relief the court may deem just. He is represented by Susan L. Thurmer of Susan L. Thurmer LLC in St. Louis.
