ST. LOUIS — An individual is suing a business partner, citing alleged breach of contract.

Harrison Flowers filed a complaint on July 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Steven M. Schmid, alleging that the defendant failed to comply with a sales contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he and the defendant executed a business sale contract, on Jan. 9, 2009 in which the defendant agreed to purchase 60 percent ownership and interest in United Fire Protection Systems LLC from the plaintiff at a cost of $250,000. The amount allegedly was supposed to be paid by Dec. 31, 2010. Despite numerous notification, plaintiff allegedly did not receive the total amount as outlined in the contract.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to complete the payment as promised in the contract

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for money damages in excess of $25,000 that is fair and reasonable, together with costs expended and further relief the Court deems just and proper. He is represented by Alan S. Mandel of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
