Illinois Central School Bus, bus driver accused of negligence

Car accident 18

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing bus driver Shannon Parks and her employer, the Illinois Central School Bus, for alleged negligence.

Rickey McCleary filed a complaint on July 17 in the St. Louis Circuit Court, alleging that Parks failed to exercise caution on the road.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was operating a motor vehicle on Nov. 11, 2016, and was stopped when he was struck by a school bus operated by Parks. He reportedly sustained serious and permanent injuries to his head and right shoulder and incurred medical expenses and other losses. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible due to Parks allegedly failing to keep proper lookout, yield or stop before striking the plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a reasonable amount in excess of $25,000, costs for this action and all other relief the court deems necessary. He is represented by Kurt E. Wolfgram of Wolfgram & Associates PC in St. Louis.
