Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District accuses property owner of refusing to pay for services

ST. LOUIS — A municipal corporation that operates a waste water system is suing a property owner for allegedly refusing to pay for the services she accepted.

Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District filed a complaint on July 18 in the St. Louis City Circuit Court against Alma Cook, also known as Alma Meeks, alleging that she failed to pay for the sewer service she requested and accepted.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it performed sewer services for the defendant's property but failed to receive any of the $24,874.66 owed to it.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to pay the required amount for the sewer service the plaintiff has provided.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in the amount of $24,874.66 plus all additional charges and fees that accrue to the date of judgment, costs incurred and for all other relief justified. They are represented by Evamarie Kozeny of Kramer & Frank PC in St. Louis.
