HANNIBAL — A company is suing Lay Seed Farms LLC, Robert A. Lay and Darla K. Lay for alleged breach of security agreements.
Winfield Solutions LLC filed a complaint on July 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Northern Division, alleging that the defendants failed to perform their contractual obligations.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages for not receiving full payment for certain goods it sold and delivered to the defendants. As of July 1, the balance of $509,512.52 allegedly remains due. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to pay for certain products that they allegedly purchased and received from plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in the amount of $509,512.52, late charges of $180,218.63, an order directing the court to seize and turn over to the plaintiff the collateral and any proceeds from the sale of the collateral, attorney fees, costs and any further relief the court deems just.
