ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis motorist is suing an employer and its driver, citing alleged negligence.

Bruce Hunter filed a complaint July 22 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Authorized Motor Parts Corp. and Brian Spera alleging that Authorized Motor Parts failed to discourage unsafe driving practices.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 9, 2014, he sustained injuries and damages when his vehicle was violently struck by a truck driven Spera and owned by Authorized Motor Parts. He suffered injuries to his neck, right shoulder, right knee and back, which required emergency, surgery and therapy treatment. The plaintiff holds Spera and Authorized Motor Parts responsible because allegedly Spera negligently made a left turn when his view was obscured and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in excess of $25,000, costs expended for this action and other relief that the court may deem proper. He is represented by Scott H. Green and Kenneth E. Rudd of The Law Office of Scott H. Green PC in St. Louis.
