ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis consumer has filed a class-action lawsuit against Camco Manufacturing Inc., a North Carolina corporation, citing alleged false advertising.

Paul Weishaar, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Camco Manufacturing Inc. alleging that the North Carolina corporation violated the Missouri's Merchandising Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, as a result of using the defendant's windshield wiper fluid, his vehicle's wiper system was damaged, and he was forced to make repairs to the system and buy other fluid.

The plaintiff holds Camco Manufacturing responsible because the defendant allegedly falsely advertised that its windshield wiper fluid can protect the vehicle's wiper system down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order certifying this case as a class action and appointing plaintiff and his counsel as class representatives, award for all damages, attorney's fees, costs and expenses and any other relief deemed proper. He is represented by Ryan P. Horace of SWMW Law LLC in St. Louis and Steven J. Stolze of Holland Law Firm in St. Louis.
