ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis bicyclist is suing a motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Joseph Mooney filed a complaint Aug. 1 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Norma Primer alleging the motorist failed to maintain proper control of her vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 5, 2016, he was on his bicycle when Primer, who wastdriver her vehicle negligently caused a T-bone collision with his bicycle. He sustained property damage and injuries to his head, hand, legs, back and ribs, which caused pain and suffering, disability and lost wages, and he incurred medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Primer responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout and failed to reduce speed, stop or swerve to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus interest and costs for this action. He is represented by Reed C. Nelson of Nelson & Nelson PC in Belleville.
