ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing the city of St. Louis and a police officer, citing alleged negligence while driving a patrol vehicle.

Marvin Porter filed a complaint in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against the city of St. Louis and Glennon P. Frigerio, alleging Frigerio failed his duty to properly operate and maintain a vehicle to avoid harming a citizen.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 16, 2016, he was driving northbound on Warne Avenue near the intersection of Lexington Avenue when his vehicle was struck on the passenger side by Porter's patrol car while he was on duty.

As a result, Porter claims he suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because Frigerio allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to stop, slacken speed, swerve, or sound a warning and failed to yield to plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount that is fair and reasonable in excess of $25,000 together with costs incurred, and for other and further relief that Court deems just and appropriate. He is represented by Christopher A. Allen of Goldblatt + Singer PC in Clayton.
