ST. LOUIS — A security officer is suing a security service company, citing alleged harassment and assault.

Jane Doe filed a complaint Aug. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Eastern Division against Zugress Security Services Inc. and Hasan Tahirovic, alleging that the defendants violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 7, 2016, as a new Zugress Security Services employee, she went to the company's office to complete her required paperwork. She claims that after she entered the office she was sexually attacked, forced to perform oral sex and was raped by Tahirovic. As a result, the plaintiff claims she suffered immense physical, mental and emotional pain and trauma.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to train and supervise its employees in a manner that adequately protects female applicants and employees from sexual assault.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages, compensatory and punitive damages, pre and post-judgment interest, and such additional relief as may be just and proper under the circumstances. She is represented by Sherrie A. Hall and Nathan K. Gilbert of Hammond and Shinners PC in St. Louis.
