ST. LOUIS — A manufacturer of synthetic plastic materials is suing an automotive-chemicals manufacturer, citing alleged breach of contract.

Alpha Plastics Inc., doing business as Alpha Packaging, filed a complaint Aug. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri against SMB International LLC, alleging that the defendant failed to comply with the mutual agreement to pay for the goods and services ordered.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between July 2016 and May 2017, it shipped certain goods as agreed upon by the defendants but failed to receive payment for invoices amounting to $252,989.19, exclusive of interest.

The plaintiff holds SMB International responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay the amounts due under the invoices.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in the total amount of $252,989.19 with the accrued interest on the principal balance and other relief the court deems proper. They are represented by Wendi Alper-Pressman and Pierre Laclede Center of Lathrop Gage LLP in Clayton.
