St. Charles motorist claims Toler Trucking driver struck her vehicle

Car accident 45

ST. LOUIS — A St. Charles motorist is suing a vehicle owner and driver, citing alleged negligence in operating vehicle, causing a collision.

Laura Boville filed a complaint in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Toler Trucking LLC and Eddie Toler, alleging that the defendants failed their duty to exercise the highest degree of care in operating and maintaining a vehicle for the safety of other motorists.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 31, she was traveling west on Poplar Street Bridge when her vehicle was struck in the rear by the defendants' vehicle. As a result, Boville claims she suffered physical injuries, missed significant time from work and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because defendant Toler allegedly failed to keep the vehicle in control, failed to follow the rules and guidelines of the federal motor carrier safety regulations and failed to pay proper attention.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in a sum in excess of $25,000, along with court costs incurred and other relief the court deems proper. She is represented by Brent A. Sumner and Andrew S. Martin of The Sumner Law Group LLC in Clayton.
