ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis resident is suing a motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Paula Pfeiffer filed a complaint Aug. 23 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Edward Welby, alleging his vehicle negligently collided with her vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 8, 2014, she sustained injuries when her vehicle was struck from the rear by the defendant's vehicle. She sustained injuries to her pelvis, groin, neck and back and incurred expenses for medical treatment and physical therapy.

The plaintiff holds Welby responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout and failed to stop, swerve or reduce speed to avoid collision.

The plaintiff seeks damages of over $25,000. She is represented by John C. Weller of John C. Weller PC in St. Louis.
