ST. LOUIS — An individual is suing contractors, citing alleged negligence.

Bernard Ivy filed a complaint Aug. 29 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Fox Inc., Feit Plumbing Co. Inc. Imeg Corp., alleging they breached their duties to use ordinary care in designing and overseeing a plumbing project.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 29, 2012, he was at St. Louis University Hospital when he sustained injuries after ceiling tiles fell on him. He claims he sustained injuries to his right shoulder, head, neck and back; has suffered physical and mental pain, loss of enjoyment of life; and incurred medical expenses. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to inspect and discover the defective condition of a pipe that leaked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages greater than $25,000, plus costs for this suit and all other relief that the court may deem just and equitable. He is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
