ST. LOUIS — A vehicle passenger is suing a truck driver for allegedly hitting the rear of the vehicle.

Stacey Turley filed a complaint in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Sahak Emichian, alleging the defendant failed his duty to exercise the highest degree of care to avoid a collision and injuries to others.

According to the complaint, Turley alleges that on Aug. 12, 2016, she was a passenger of a vehicle going on Interstate 55 in St. Louis when the defendant's truck struck the rear end of the vehicle.  As a result, Turley claims she suffered physical injuries, which impaired her ability to enjoy life, and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Emichian responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a careful and vigilant watch and lookout, failed to stop his vehicle, slow down, swerve on the same side and sound a warning of his approach.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in excess of $25,000 for injuries and damages, together with costs expended and for further relief the court deems proper. She is represented by Theodore H. Hoffman and Steven M. Gelfman of Hoffman & Gelfman in St. Louis.
