Driver claims he was injured in St. Louis crash after other motorist struck his vehicle

Car accident 04

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Orlando Harris filed a complaint Sept. 5 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Audrey Poindexter, alleging she failed to exercise the highest degree of care to operate her motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 22, 2015, he was driving in St. Louis when the defendant struck the left side of his vehicle, causing him to lose control and hit a utility post. He claims he sustained serious and permanent injuries to his neck, left shoulder, knee and back, resulting in pain and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Poindexter responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout and negligently attempted to make an improper pass.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of over $25,000, costs expended for this action and all relief deemed proper. He is represented by Daniel Brown of Brown & Brown LLP in St. Louis.
