ST. LOUIS — A mother and son are suing a motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Fazila Vukovic and Ermin Vukovic filed a complaint in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Deborah Dawson, alleging she failed to operate her vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 25, 2016, Ermin Vukovic was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by his mother, Fazila Vukovic, in St. Louis when defendant collided with their vehicle. They sustained serious and disabling injuries to their heads, necks, backs and more. The plaintiffs hold Dawson responsible because she allegedly illegally entered the plaintiffs' lane, failed to maintain a careful lookout and neglected to stop at a red light.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages of more than $25,000 but less than $75,000, plus interest, costs for this action and any further relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Timothy M. Etzkorn of Etzkorn & Etzkorn LLP in St. Louis and Nedim Ramic of Bajric & Ramic LLC in St. Louis.
