ST. LOUIS — A patron is suing a restaurant and bar for allegedly not keeping its premises safe.
Tiarra Ford filed a complaint Sept. 7 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Big Daddy's on the Landing LLC and John Doe Co., alleging that the defendants failed its duty of ordinary care to inspect for and remediate dangerous and defective conditions on its property.
According to the complaint, Ford alleges that on Sept. 7, 2012, she was at Big Daddy's on the Landing when she slipped and fell on a wet floor and was injured. The plaintiff claims that during her fall, an intoxicated male patron stumbled into her, causing more injuries.
The plaintiff holds Big Daddy's on the Landing and John Doe Co. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn, inspect or otherwise remove or mitigate water on the floor and failed to recognize or adequately supervise the intoxicated man who stumbled into the plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks judgment in an amount of damages greater than $25,000 for costs and for all relief the court deems equitable and just. She is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
