ST. LOUIS — An Illinois company is suing an event organizer for alleged breach of contract and defamation.

Kenreial Sims, doing business as Kingjuce.com, filed a complaint Sept. 7 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Gerald Fulton Jr., alleging that the defendant failed to comply with a written agreement, which resulted in several altercations and false information.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the plaintiff agreed to pay the defendant for his event services. On Feb. 24, 2013, the plaintiff claims there were several altercations with the defendant's guests who allegedly tried to access the VIP area of a venue with general admission tickets. The plaintiff also claims he was attacked on social media and had false statements made against him that greatly diminished the company's standing among peers in the battle-rap industry.

The plaintiff holds Fulton responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to comply with the contract that the said event would be private and agreed to such by signing and accepting cash for deposit and collecting final cash payment upon arrival at event venue.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for damages in an amount not to exceed $25,000, plus pre- and postjudgment interest, punitive damages, cost of the proceedings and for other relief the court deems proper.
