ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis County resident is suing a concrete contractor, citing alleged negligence.

Annette P. Heller filed a complaint Sept. 21 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against R. V. Wagner Inc., alleging that the concrete contractor failed to maintain the parking area in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 8, she was walking away from the parking meter when she tripped and fell over the legs of a sign placed by the defendant at the exit of the parking area. She claims she sustained serious and permanent injuries to her right shoulder, right arm, head and other parts of her body, as well as her nervous system. The plaintiff holds R. V. Wagner responsible because the defendant allegedly improperly placed the sign and failed to warn the public of the lack of visibility of the sign.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of this suit and any further relief as the court may deem proper. She is represented by David S. Fischer of Law Office of David S. Fischer in St. Louis.
