ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing another motorist, citing alleged negligence.
James McRath filed a complaint Sept. 22 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Larhonda Cooper, alleging that the defendant failed her duty to exercise the highest degree of care while operating her vehicle.
According to the complaint, McRath alleges that on Oct. 18, 2016, he was driving in a parking lot at 3100 Market St. in St. Louis when his vehicle was struck by Cooper's vehicle after she placed her car in reverse. As a result, McRath claims he was injured and incurred expenses for medical treatment.
The plaintiff holds Cooper responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout for other vehicles and failed to yield the right-of-way.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount of monetary damages exceeding $25,000 for costs, and for other relief the court deems just and reasonable. He is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
