ST. LOUIS — Minor children are seeking court approval of a settlement following a car in which they claim a motorist was negligent.

Arianah Plummer and Cole Plummer, minors, by and through their father, Zachary Plummer, filed a complaint Sept. 26 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Melton Thomas, alleging that the motorist negligently failed to operate his vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in Jan. 29, 2016, the plaintiffs were involved in an automobile collision in Illinois with the defendant and sustained injuries that required medical treatment. The plaintiffs hold Thomas responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to settle the plaintiffs' claim for their injuries and damages.

The plaintiffs seek an order granting authority to their father to settle these matters in accordance with the law and all other relief as the court deems just and proper under the circumstances. They are represented by Joseph D. Klenofsky of The Klenofsky Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
