ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing a motorist for allegedly ignoring a red light and causing a collision.

Christine Moranville filed a complaint Sept. 28 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Nicholas Nunn, alleging the defendant drove his vehicle in a careless and reckless manner.

According to the complaint, Moranville alleges that on June 19, 2014, while driving her Toyota Corolla through an intersection with a yellow light, her vehicle was struck in the driver's side by the defendant's vehicle.

The plaintiff claims the impact resulted in severe pain, despite medication, that caused her difficulty with concentration, coordination, memory and sleeping.

The plaintiff holds Nunn responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout, did not pay attention to traffic signals and fled the seen immediately after the crash.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for an amount exceeding $25,000 for compensatory damages, pain and suffering, emotional distress, punitive damages, costs, and for any other relief as the Court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Steven A. Donner and Thomas R. Applewhite of Donner Applewhite, Attorneys at Law in St. Louis.
