ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing a motorist for allegedly ignoring traffic signal at the intersection of Nebraska Avenue and Gravois Avenue.
Orlando Hughes filed a complaint Sept. 29 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Alex Wilson, alleging the defendant violated the traffic light, causing multiple collisions.
According to the complaint, Hughes alleges that on March 27, he was stopped at red light when his vehicle was struck in the rear passenger side. The defendant allegedly ran the red light at the intersection when he struck another motorist and thereby striking the plaintiff's vehicle.
As a result, Hughes claims he suffered physical injuries, endured pain and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Wilson responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout, failed to yield the right of way and failed to obey a traffic signal.
The plaintiff seeks judgment in an amount in excess of $25,000, an award of costs and for other relief the court deems just. He is represented by Carolyn G. Caruthers of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
