ST. LOUIS — Individuals are seeking court approval for a settlement in a dog-bite case.

Jade Studdard, by and through his mother and next friend Angela Studdard and Roger Studdard, had filed a complaint in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Germaine Dotterweich and Amy Colman, alleging they negligently failed to prevent their dog from biting the minor plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 1, Jade Studdard was injured when he was bitten by a dog owned by the defendants. The defendants agreed to settle the plaintiffs' claim for $18,000. The plaintiff holds Dotterweich and Colman responsible because they allegedly continue to deny liability for the injuries sustained by the minor plaintiff.

The plaintiffs seek approval of the court for the settlement of the minor's claim for $18,000. They are represented by Thomas G. Wilmowski Jr.
