ST. LOUIS — A woman is suing St. Louis restaurant operators, citing alleged negligence.

Sharon Peters filed a complaint Sept. 29 in the St Louis Circuit Court against White Castle Systems Inc. and Jane Doe, alleging they breached their duties to operate the restaurant in a safe manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 11, 2010, she was at the defendant's restaurant when she was harassed, attacked and kicked until she lost consciousness by an unknown person. She sustained injuries to her head, eyes, face and nose. The plaintiff holds White Castle Systems and Jane Doe responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate security for the protection of guests and failed to warn of the increased danger of violence at the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $25,000, costs of this action and all other relief that the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Preston Humphrey Jr. of Preston Humphrey LLC in St. Louis.
