Woman claims she was injured, incurred medical expenses due to Shenandoah Avenue crash

Car accident 01

ST. LOUIS — A vehicle passenger is suing a motorist for allegedly making an improper lane change.

Renada Walker filed a complaint Oct. 5 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Nanette Boelloeni, alleging the defendant operated her vehicle in such a manner to cause the vehicle to strike another vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 5, 2012, she was a passenger in a vehicle heading west on Shenandoah Avenue and as it approached an intersection, the vehicle was hit when Boelloeni's vehicle entered the traffic lane.

As a result, Walker claims she suffered physical injuries, pain and debilitation and has incurred medical expenses in excess of $2,960.

The plaintiff holds Boelloeni responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and omitted to sound a horn or give any signal or warning of the approach, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield and operated the vehicle at a speed in excess of that which was safe under the conditions present.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for past, present and future damages for an amount in excess of $25,000 and costs expended. She is represented by Cecil L. Skaggs of Central West End Law Office in St. Louis.
