Driver seeks damages for Forest Park Avenue crash

Car accident 03

ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing another motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Fallon Johnson filed a complaint Oct. 3 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Nicola Charlotte Phillips, alleging she failed to exercise the highest degree of care in operating her vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 20, 2016, she was driving westbound on Forest Park Avenue in St. Louis when the defendant negligently struck the rear of her vehicle. She claims she sustained serious injuries to her neck, head, chest, back and other parts of her body and was caused to suffer lost wages, pain and suffering, disability and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Phillips responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to keep an adequate distance from her vehicle and failed to stop, slow down or swerve to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs of this action and all other relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Stephen R. Slough of The Law Office of Steve Slough in St. Louis.
