ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing a company and its employee, citing alleged negligence.

Maxine Stewart filed a complaint Oct. 3 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against ALC Gravois LLC and Marilyn Kay Workman alleging that Workman failed to keep her vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 25, 2016, she was traveling westbound on Flyer Street when Workman, who was driving while in the course of her employment with ALC, collided with the rear of Stewart's vehicle. She claims she sustained severe injuries to her head, neck,  spine, shoulders and other areas.

The plaintiff holds ALC Gravois and Workman responsible because Workman allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout for changing traffic conditions and failed to stop before colliding with Stewart's vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of over $25,000, plus interest and all other relief that the court may deem appropriate. She is represented by James W. Eason of The Eason Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
