ST. LOUIS — A sound effects operator identified only as John Doe is suing radio station KTRS-AM and on-air personality John Craddock, alleging invasion of privacy.

The plaintiff filed the complaint on Oct. 6 in the St Louis Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that Craddock disclosed highly personal information about him during a broadcast.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 29, 2017, he was forced to resign his position at the radio station and had been subjected to intense shame, fear, worry, anxiety, emotional distress and humiliation, as a result of the defendants' conduct. The plaintiff holds KTRS-AM and Craddock responsible because Craddock allegedly repeatedly said on the air that the plaintiff was not available to work because he had to deal with a substance abuse problem.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and punitive damages of more than $50,000, pre-judgment interest, costs and such other proper relief. He is represented by Donna L. Harper, Benjamin F. Westhoff and Claire Wiltse of Sedey Harper Westhoff PC in St. Louis.
