ST. LOUIS — A motorist is suing an Oklahoma woman for allegedly running a red light and striking the plaintiff's car.
John Hendrickson filed a complaint on Oct. 5 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Sheila L. Karges, alleging that the defendant operated her vehicle in a manner that caused a collision with another vehicle, resulting in injuries and property damage.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 20, 2015, he was driving through the intersection of Washington Avenue and Third Street in St. Louis when his vehicle was struck by defendant Karges's vehicle after the defendant ran a red light.
As a result, Hendrickson claims he suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Karges responsible because she allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout, failed to pay proper attention on the road and failed to yield right-of-way.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in a sum exceeding $25,000 to compensate for damages, along with court costs incurred and for other relief the court deems proper. He is represented by Jeremy A. Gogel of the Gogel Law Firm in St. Louis.
