ST. LOUIS — A home remodeling company is suing a Florida couple, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment over a failure to pay for renovations.
Metro Luxe Homes LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 5 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Adedapo A. Oduye and Kehinde Oduye, alleging a violation of the mutual agreement by failing to pay for services accepted and received.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 8, 2014, the company sent an invoice to the defendants for payment for the work performed, materials and services completed at the defendants' St. Louis property. The plaintiff claims the couple failed to pay for the services and materials described in the invoice, which amounted to $23,918.22.
As a result, the company claims it suffered wasted time, labor and expenses relating to contract work.
The plaintiff holds Adedapo A. Oduye and Kehinde Oduye responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to pay for the work performed.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in the amount of $23,918.22, plus all additional charges and fees that accrue from the date of judgment, costs incurred and for all other relief that is justified. They are represented by Jonathan P. Beck and Alejandro P. Frank of Beck Ostrom Sweet LLC in St. Louis.
