Bus driver seeks damages in St. Louis collision

Car accident 32

ST. LOUIS — A bus driver is suing a motorist for allegedly causing a collision.

Freddie Roper filed a complaint Oct. 12 in the St. Louis County Circuit Court against John Zay, alleging failure to exercise the highest degree of care of a motor vehicle on a Missouri roadway.

According to the complaint, Roper alleges that on June 12, she was driving westbound on Vista Street when suddenly her vehicle was struck in the rear-end by Zay's vehicle. As a result, Roper claims he suffered physical injuries and loss of income and needed medical treatment.

The plaintiff holds Zay responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to sound a warning or take evasive action.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages in an amount in excess of $25,000, with costs, prejudgment interest and any further relief the court deems necessary. He is represented by Eric O. Wolfgram of Wolfgram & Associates PC in St. Louis.
