ST. LOUIS — A vehicle passenger is suing a motorist for alleged negligence driving when entering an intersection.
David Siar filed a complaint Oct. 16 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Til Rai, alleging that the defendant failed his duty to operate his vehicle with the highest degree of care so not to endanger other motorists.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 1, he was a passenger in a vehicle driving north on Gravois Avenue near the intersection of Potomac Street when Rai's car entered the intersection, striking the vehicle. As a result, Siar claims he suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Rai responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout, failed to slacken speed, swerve or sound warning and failed to yield the right-of-way.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount that is fair and reasonable in excess of $25,000, plus prejudgment interest, costs, and for such other relief as the Court deems just and proper under the circumstances. He is represented by Nicholas K. Meador and Anne N. Blake of Koller & Meador LLC in Brentwood.
