ST. LOUIS — A former employee is suing Dado's Cafe Inc. and manager Nick Avouris, alleging retaliation, sexual harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination.

Aimee Duvall filed a complaint on Oct. 25 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that as a result of inappropriate and unwelcome sexual comments, she almost resigned from her employment and was caused to endure humiliation and embarrassment. She was finally terminated on Oct. 26, 2016. The plaintiff holds Dado's Cafe Inc. and Avouris responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected her to sex discrimination and harassment, retaliated against her and terminated her employment for complaining about the lewd acts.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks back pay and benefits, compensatory and punitive damages, attorneys' fees, costs and all other relief that the court views as proper. She is represented by George O. Suggs of Schuchat, Cook & Werner in St. Louis.
